Pacific Division Predictions, Odds: Projected Standings 2024-25

The Pacific Division should continue to be one of the more exciting division races during the 2024-25 NBA season.

There have been three different division champions in the last three seasons, with the Los Angeles Clippers finishing in first place for the first time since 2013-14 last year. But the Clippers are long shots to repeat, while the Suns enter as betting favorites to win the Pacific.

Who will come out on top in 2024-25? Here’s a look at the latest NBA betting markets and my best bet for the Pacific Division:

Prediction: Warriors to Win Pacific (+450)

All five teams in this division are trading between 40.5 and 46.5 wins, so the market expects a tight race. Bettors would be wise to chase a long shot in this division and look for in-season value on the Suns.

The Warriors are my favorite long shot in this division, as they have the perfect combination of floor and upside. Golden State’s over 43.5 wins lead my NBA win total predictions this year.

Despite losing Klay Thompson, the Warriors improved their roster in the offseason by adding Kyle Anderson, Buddy Hield, and De’Anthony Melton. I expect all of their additions to slide in their roles around Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Golden State finished 10th in a loaded Western Conference last year, though its net rating ranked 11th in the league. 

I’m expecting a bounce-back campaign from the Warriors after they finished at the bottom of this division a year ago. Their chances of winning a division title for the first time since 2019 are better than these odds indicate.
