For my Pistons vs. Cavaliers prediction in Game 6, I like the over on Ausar Thompson’s rebound line (6.5) on Friday.
The Detroit wing continues to be the best athlete in this series. In Game 5, Thompson tallied seven rebounds on 19 chances in 41 minutes during an overtime loss.
Thompson is now averaging 6.6 rebounds on 13 chances in 29.2 minutes per game in Round 2, clearing this line in four of the five matchups.
During this playoff run, Thompson has cleared this rebound line in 10 of his 12 games. He’s averaging 7.8 boards on 13.4 chances per contest.
With the series deep into its run, fatigue should start showing up in shooting numbers. And that’s where Thompson can make his presence felt, doing the dirty work on the glass on both ends of the floor.
