Thunder vs. Pacers Prediction: NBA Odds & Picks for Thursday

  • Get NBA picks and analysis for Thunder vs. Pacers.
  • Oklahoma City is a 7.5-point favorite to win on Thursday.

After a full slate of games on Wednesday, there will be just two nationally televised contests on Thursday.

The first matchup of the doubleheader will be between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers at 7:30 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on ESPN.

The Thunder secured a 125-124 win over the Houston Rockets in double overtime on their banner night. Now, they will face the Pacers for their opener in a rematch of last yearโ€™s NBA Finals.

Oklahoma City is laying -7.5, but I prefer the total in my Thunder vs. Pacers prediction.

Thunder vs. Pacers Prediction: Thursday, Oct. 23

  • Under 232.5 (-110)

For a rematch of the 2025 NBA Finals, my Thunder vs. Pacers prediction likes the under (232.5) on Thursday in Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

It might seem strange to take an under in a Pacers game, but itโ€™s important to remember that the team is without its star point guard. Tyrese Haliburton suffered an Achilles injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, which will have a massive impact on a team that has ranked in the top 10 in scoring for three straight seasons.

During the preseason, the Pacers ranked 20th in offensive rating and 16th in pace. They were ninth and seventh, respectively, in the regular season last year. According to Cleaning the Glass, the Pacers averaged 95 points per 100 possessions with Haliburton last year.

In addition, the Thunder were historically elite on defense last year. Their defensive rating was more than seven points better than the No. 2 team in the league.

The total in Oklahoma Cityโ€™s opener finished over its closing line of 226, but that game needed two overtime periods to do so. There were 208 total points scored in regulation.

I project solid value on this under.

Prediction: Under 232.5 (Pick made Thursday)

Thunder vs. Pacers Odds for Thursday

  • Pacers spread: +7.5
  • Total: 232.5
