Based on the latest NBA betting lines, my favorite Thunder vs. Spurs NBA Cup prediction is over 2.5 assists for Stephon Castle (-165) due to the rookie’s recent role with San Antonio.
Castle has cleared this mark in six straight games, as he’s earned a more significant role lately after being drafted by the Spurs with the No. 4 overall pick. He has dished four-plus assists in four of his previous six outings.
As such, I’d be interested in targeting an alternate assists prop if this price got too steep. For now, I see value in Castle recording three assists at -170 or better.
I project more than 3.5 assists, meaning this prop has a 10% edge.
This game has blowout potential, especially with Victor Wembanyama listed as doubtful. But I expect Castle to take this opportunity to demonstrate his potential in San Antonio.
