Thunder Over/Under Wins 2026-27

Thunder Win Total Prediction

  • Under 62.5 wins (-115)

I like the under on the Thunder’s win total (62.5) because they are due for a down regular season after averaging 66 wins the last two years. They won 68 games in 2024-25 and 64 contests last year.

The last time a team won 60-plus games in three straight seasons was when the Golden State Warriors accomplished the feat. They went 67-15 in 2014-15, 73-9 in 2015-16, and 67-15 in 2016-17. The Warriors signed Kevin Durant ahead of the 2016-17 season, making them a juggernaut.

Of course, Oklahoma City has the talent to join an exclusive club. Only six teams in NBA history have posted three straight 60-win campaigns. But I’m not sure it’s in the Thunder’s best interest to push for regular-season success, especially with the league as deep as ever.

Coming off an NBA championship run in 2025, the Thunder dealt with more injuries last year before eventually losing in the Western Conference finals. Jalen Williams, the team’s second-best player, was limited to just 33 games.

The Thunder must be counting on better health because they parted ways with two rotation players and one starter. Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe, and Luguentz Dort were all traded away to help Oklahoma City avoid the luxury tax.

Head coach Mark Daigneault has plenty of talent to work with on this roster, but don’t be surprised if there are some growing pains as he works out a new rotation. I also expect the Thunder to be more careful with their key players, hoping to keep them healthy for a deep playoff run.

In the end, Oklahoma City claiming the No. 2 seed with a win total in the high 50s could be a successful regular season.
