The Portland Trail Blazers start the 2025-26 season with a win total of 34.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

This comes after the Trail Blazers won 36 games last year, clearing their preseason over/under of 21.5.

Trail Blazers Over/Under Wins 2025-26

  • Over 34.5 wins: -110
  • Under 34.5 wins: -110

Trail Blazers Win Total Prediction

  • Under 35.5 wins (Pick made Oct. 2)

The Trail Blazers have aspirations of contending for a spot in the play-in tournament. Thatโ€™s why they traded Anfernee Simons for Jrue Holiday. There were some picks involved, but that part of the deal was adjusted following Holiday’s physical.

Portland also brought back Damian Lillard, who is unlikely to factor into the mix this season after suffering an Achilles injury in the playoffs. Portland also drafted Hansen Yang at No. 16 overall in one of the most surprising selections of the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Trail Blazers are operating like a team with a lot of confidence, which could stem from their 23-18 finish in the previous season.

The problem with buying into that late-season push is that spring basketball isnโ€™t real in the NBA. Many teams are actively tanking, which allows those still trying to rack up wins to do so.

Iโ€™m also skeptical about how legitimate Portlandโ€™s defense was down the stretch. Opposing teams shot 34% from deep during the back half of the season, which was the second-lowest mark in the league.

There are reasons to be excited about the Trail Blazersโ€™ upcoming season. Scoot Henderson will have a chance to take complete control of the team in his third campaign.

However, the Western Conference is incredibly deep, and Portland lacks the half-court creativity to fully believe in a leap happening this year.
