NCAA Tournament bettors love Baylor’s chances of reaching their first Final Four since 1950.
Baylor failed to cover the spread against Hartford in the First Round but have covered in the last two games, wins over Wisconsin and Villanova en route to their third Elite Eight appearance since 2010. Prior to Scott Drew’s arrival in 2003, the Bears had zero Elite Eight appearances since the tournament expanded in 1985 (and zero since 1950). They opened as a 7-point favorite over Arkansas for Monday’s game but, as of Monday morning, are now an 8-point favorite.
While a modest 56 percent of the spread tickets are on Baylor, they’re earning 64 percent of the spread handle. Here are the ticket and handle breakdowns for Monday’s March Madness betting:
(2) Houston vs. (12) Oregon State
|Spread||59% on Baylor||64% on Baylor|
|Total||59% on Under||69% on Under|
(1) Baylor vs. (3) Arkansas
|Spread||73% on Oregon State||72% on Oregon State|
|Total||50% on Under||56% on Under|
