Last Time Memphis Made the Final Four

The last time Memphis made the Final Four was 2008. The Tigers defeated UCLA, 78-63, in the national semifinal before losing to Kansas, 75-68 (OT), in the title game. Memphis later had this season vacated.

Memphis has reached three Final Fours, but two have been vacated by the NCAA:

  • 1973
  • 1985 (vacated)
  • 2008 (vacated)

Including the vacated appearances, the Tigers are 2-1 in national semifinals, winning in 1973 and 2008. They lost the national championship game both times.
