New Mexico has not reached a Final Four in program history.

Despite New Mexico not appearing in a Final Four, the Lobos have made two Sweet Sixteens (1968 and 1974), as well as 16 total NCAA Tournaments.

Santa Clara defeated New Mexico, 86-73, in the 1968 Sweet Sixteen, and San Francisco defeated the Lobos, 64-61, during the 1974 regional semifinal.
