Who will win the final game of the season? Monday’s national championship game will feature a well-known favorite and a shocking, unkillable underdog.

BetMGM is already live with college basketball odds for the national championship game.

After Michigan’s utter destruction of Arizona in the semifinal, the only question left was how big of a favorite Michigan was going to be.

Michigan vs. UConn: 2026 Men’s Basketball National Championship Game

Michigan ranks in KenPom’s top five for both adjusted offensive efficiency and adjusted defensive efficiency. It leads college basketball in Quad 1 wins and has set records for NCAA Tournament offense on its way to the national championship game.

UConn hasn’t lost a tournament game in the Sweet 16 or later since 2009. That feels like an impossible stat, aided by an exploding Hall of Fame candidacy for head coach Dan Hurley.

The mythology of UConn may quietly disguise the fact that the Huskies are clear underdogs in this game. Michigan has spent many weeks this season as the title favorite and is the rightful favorite in Monday’s game.

The UConn moneyline may be a popular target for historical reasons, but Michigan clearly looks the part of a classic title contender.
