Will Auburn Men’s Basketball Make the 2026 NCAA Tournament?

Auburn’s last meaningful win was almost a month ago – a 75-74 home win over Kentucky. Since then, the Tigers are 2-4 with losses to Ole Miss and Oklahoma.

Both the Rebels and Sooners are still playing in the SEC Tournament. Auburn isn’t after Thursday’s loss to Tennessee. At this point, Auburn fans should be concerned that their team will be pushed off the bubble by one of those two conference rivals.

The Sooners can make a compelling head-to-head case that they’re the better team for inclusion right now, today. And if Ole Miss steals a bid, that could be it for Auburn.

Auburn NCAA Tournament Prediction

I am predicting Auburn will miss the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Auburn has good nonconference wins against St. John’s and NC State. But at 7-11 in SEC play, Auburn would tie with the worst conference record to ever make the NCAA Tournament.

With other SEC teams pushing hard in the final days, I think there may be too much headwind for Auburn.
