Miami (OH) completed its undefeated regular season last Friday in dramatic fashion, scoring a 110-108 overtime road win at Ohio. The RedHawks now enter the MAC tournament at 31-0 – the first undefeated college basketball regular season in five years.Â
Despite its unblemished season, the RedHawks are not guaranteed a berth in next week’s NCAA Tournament without the MAC’s automatic bid, awarded to the winner of its conference tournament.
Miami is clearly a good basketball team, most prominently showing its talent this season by repeatedly ending up on the right side of close games.Â

I am predicting Miami will lose the MAC Tournament but make the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team.
If Miami does indeed lose this week – BetMGM’s MAC tournament odds price Akron as a significant favorite, as I also wrote about recently – Miami has earned the chance to compete in the NCAA Tournament. The MAC is a pretty good conference these days!
