New Mexico was pushing for a tournament berth at the end of this season, but the Lobos came up short in their semifinal game against San Diego State.

Now, they’ll need to win an at-large bid from the NCAA selection committee. With both SDSU and New Mexico on the bubble, it’s hard to imagine the Lobos would get the nod over the Aztecs in the aftermath of Friday’s result.
