UCLA is a bubble team that likely punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a late-season win over Illinois.

UCLA NCAA Tournament Resume

UCLA March Madness: Last Season

UCLA made the NCAA Tournament last year as a No. 7 seed. The Bruins advanced to the second round before losing.

Head coach Mick Cronin has made the tournament in four of the last five years. The Bruins won at least one game in all four appearances and went to the Sweet 16 (or further) in three of the four.

UCLA Tournament Prediction

I am predicting that UCLA will make the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

The Bruins could still collapse and miss the tournament if they’re really unlucky. But at this point, it’s probably safe to assume that they’ll be in the field of 68 – even if they end up playing in the First Four.

UCLA In the Final Four

Cronin helped the No. 11 seed Bruins go to the Final Four in 2021, and he could potentially mount a similar run with this year’s team, depending on the path through the bracket.

The recent drama around the team’s trip to Michigan has put a dark cloud over the team, at least temporarily. The upshot of that news cycle is that bettors can find some fat numbers for UCLA basketball odds in intermediate futures markets like the Final Four betting odds.
