In Week 11 of college football, one of the best ways to get a good return on your bets is to find a good away team to back. Bettors can find some good value picks in this week’s NCAAF betting lines.

So, the question now becomes, which NCAAF away teams are the best bets this week?

Let’s find out.

Minnesota (+6) at Iowa

This week, one of my favorite bets is the Golden Gophers getting six points on the road against the Hawkeyes.

Why? In the Big Ten, Iowa has arguably the worst offense, averaging the fewest total yards per game with 299. In comparison, Minnesota averages 361 total yards.

Surprisingly, Minnesota allows five fewer yards per game than Iowa as well. That is not a good sign for the Hawkeyes because they have struggled to put up points this year against the conference’s best defenses.

Wisconsin is the top-ranked defense in the Big Ten, and Iowa only scored seven points against them. Purdue has similar stats on defense as Minnesota, and they also held Iowa to seven points in their matchup. As a result, Iowa may have a tough time putting up enough points to cover this spread.

Nevada (+2.5) at San Diego State

For those of you on the east coast who like to place bets on late games, this may be one that you want to keep an eye on. Nevada travels to San Diego State this week, and they are currently only two and a half point underdogs for that game.

The Aztecs are a team that has appeared on the CFP rankings, yet they’re only a field goal at home? One reason for that may be that San Diego State is facing the conference’s best offense.

Nevada leads the Mountain West in points per game, averaging 36.4. They are led by QB Carson Strong, who is one of the top quarterback prospects for the 2022 NFL Draft.

This game will likely decide who will finish in first place in the Mountain West, but San Diego State does not have a good history against talented offenses in the conference this year. The last time they faced a higher-tier offense in the conference, they lost at home to Fresno State by 10.

Texas A&M (-3) at Ole Miss

This will likely be one of the biggest games on the Week 11 slate, and the Aggies are currently field-goal favorites traveling to Ole Miss. However, considering how highly ranked Ole Miss is, this feels like Texas A&M is being given a lot of respect here as they come off of a win over Auburn.

The Aggies come into this game with one of the best records ATS in the SEC at 6-3. But, they have only played in one true road game this year, and they covered in that game.

So, why should you back Texas A&M? They say defense wins championships, and the Aggies certainly have that covered.

Georgia’s defense has gotten all of the attention in the conference and the nation, but the Aggies are not far behind, allowing the second-fewest points per game in the nation (14.7).

Ole Miss has struggled this season against the conference’s best defenses. Against Alabama and Auburn, they only scored a combined 41 points, but they average around 38 points per game.

Texas A&M is statistically better than Auburn’s defense in every significant category and matches up well with Alabama’s defense in most. If Ole Miss keeps that pattern up, the Aggies’ defense could have their way with them.
