The New York Jets find themselves coming into Week 8 with a bit of a quarterback problem. Unfortunately, they have several problems, including being tied for last place with the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East while sitting at 1-5 overall.

It’s worth noting that the Jets’ record is with starter Zach Wilson at the helm. NFL betting enthusiasts will be watching closely now that Wilson is out with an injury.

What should the Bengals expect from the New York Jets in Week 8 minus Zach Wilson? Can they get some points on the board and surprise the Bengals?

Read on to learn more about what to expect from the Jets this week.

New York Jets Quarterback Situation

The New York Jets game-day situation is bleak when you consider their quarterback situation.

Wilson is out after suffering a PCL injury in Week 7 against the Patriots. After surgery, the Jets expect him out for two to four weeks.

After the injury in Week 7, the Jets brought in backup QB Mike White for his first game in the regular season.

White finished Sunday’s 54-13 loss to the Patriots 20-of-32 with 202 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Head coach Robert Saleh announced that White would remain at the helm for the Jets during Week 8. Can he do enough to get some points on the board?

Joe Flacco Back in a Jets Uniform

In a move that should make White and perhaps Zach Wilson nervous, the Jets traded to grab QB Joe Flacco back from the Eagles.

Some might have expected Flacco to suit up this week, but the Jets are sticking with White and will see if Flacco is ready to go.

Joe Flacco was with the Jets during the 2020 season and started four games. He completed 55.2 percent of his passes for 864 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions while with the Jets.

Some wonder if he’ll get playing time on Sunday and how it will impact the final score with the Bengals.

Bengals in Week 8

When you look at the Bengals vs. Jets without Zach Wilson, you also must consider what we know about the Bengals.

Sure, the Bengals’ offense won’t impact the Jets’ offense. Yet, if the Bengals and Joe Burrow get hot, the Jets will have to abandon their running game early and rely on the arm of Mike White.

The other issue for the Jets offense is the suffocating defense the Bengals have brought to the field thus far.

So, if White and the Jets want to win, they will need their best game of the year and hope the Bengals have an off day.

I don’t see the Jets doing well in this game.

The Jets Without Zach Wilson

The New York Jets have a plan without Zach Wilson. They are putting their faith in backup Mike White with hopes that Joe Flacco might also be ready to go. Will it be enough to get points on the board for the Jets to handle the Bengals?
