NFL Week 13

There’s some decent value among underdog teams that can cover the spread in Week 13. NFL betting odds suggest you should get your picks in as soon as possible.

However, it sometimes helps to watch the lines as they move during the week to see which teams bettors think will cover an underdog spread. So let’s consider the NFL ATS picks for underdogs this week.

Los Angeles Chargers (+3) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Chargers are 2-1 ATS as the underdog this season. In Week 13, they’ll be on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chargers are getting three points (-105) for this matchup.

Already, the Bengals show as favorites to cover at home, with odds juiced to -115 on the spread. And for a good reason.

They destroyed the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, 41-10.

Joe Burrow completed 20 out of 24 passes for 190 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Joe Mixon had a stellar performance against the Steelers, running for 165 yards on 28 carries with two touchdowns.

In Week 11, the Chargers beat the Steelers, 41-37. The key to that victory was running back Austin Ekeler.

Ekeler carried the ball 11 times for 50 yards and two scores at home against Pittsburgh. He also caught six passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Forget the Chargers’ abysmal performance last week at the Denver Broncos, 28-13. If they can utilize Ekeler and control the clock against the Bengals, they should cover the spread.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+4.5) vs. Baltimore Ravens

Among NFL ATS picks, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-2 as the underdog this season. In Week 13, they’ll be hosting the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have a 3-2 road record outright.

More recently, Baltimore has won three of its last four matchups by an average of four points each. However, despite a feared ground game ranking second in the NFL and averaging 150.7 yards per game, the Baltimore offense remains plagued with inconsistency.

Four out of the last five weeks, Baltimore’s offense failed to score 20 points. Last week, Lamar Jackson threw four interceptions against the Cleveland Browns, another AFC North rival. In addition, Baltimore totaled 148 rushing yards without a score on the ground.

The Ravens’ only touchdown came from a pass to tight end Mark Andrews on the opening drive in the second half. Somehow, the Ravens managed to win, 16-10.

The Steelers, on the other hand, averaged 23 points per contest in their last four games. So, they may pick up a big win at Heinz Field this week, considering this game features one of the NFL’s most heated rivalries.

I’d take the +3.5 on the Steelers at home (-110).

NFL ATS Picks Are All About Underdogs This Season

NFL favorites are only 76-100-1 ATS so far this season, and there are a few intriguing underdogs I think are worth a play.
