NFL betting favorites are covering the spread just 42.3% of the time this year. However, there are three Week 11 matchups in which the favored teams should have no trouble covering. The NFL odds provided by BetMGM may provide some value in the following games:
- Washington Football Team at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)
- San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
- Cincinnati Bengals (-1) at Las Vegas Raiders
Read on to find out why these teams should win against the spread and why they are my three NFL best bets of the week.
Washington Football Team at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)
Cam Newton is back in Carolina, and he should only get better as he gets more time to practice with his new team. The Panthers look reenergized by Newton and the return of their star running back, Christian McCaffrey.
Newton was mainly used as a short-yardage rusher on Sunday against Arizona, but he made the most of the work and scored two touchdowns. Newton didn’t start on Sunday, but he may replace PJ Walker as the starter against the Washington Football Team.
Luckily for Cam Newton, Washington’s pass defense allows the third-most passing yards per game in the NFL. The Football Team notched a surprising win against Tampa Bay, but they also just lost their best defensive player, Chase Young, to a torn ACL.
San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The 49ers have alternated wins and losses over their last four games, but Sunday’s matchup should help them break that trend. After knocking off the division-rival Rams last week, San Francisco now gets to take on the Jaguars and their struggling defense.
Jacksonville ranks 27th in the NFL in points allowed, and their offense doesn’t look capable of competing in a high-scoring game. On the other side of the field, the 49ers’ defense just held the dynamic Rams offense to ten points and now gets to square off against a quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, who is completing just 58% of his passes this year.
Cincinnati Bengals (-1) at Las Vegas Raiders
The Bengals are coming off a bye week and playing for a division championship. However, despite the extra rest and the recent Raiders turmoil, Cincinnati is just a one-point NFL betting favorite against Las Vegas.
This Bengals team ranks ninth in the NFL in points per game and eighth in the NFL in passing yards per game. Cincinnati lost two straight before their bye week, but the week off came at the perfect time for this team to reset. I think they get back on track against a Raiders team that has had to deal with tons of off-field distractions this year.
Reviewing the NFL Best Bets for Week 11
Favorites haven’t been very profitable this year, but the three in this article have great matchups this week. Each spread mentioned above is less than a touchdown, but I think all three games could be blowout wins for the favored squad.
