There’s no doubt that the money line and point spread can provide loads of excitement when it comes to online football betting. But sometimes you can’t decide on a winner and would rather try your luck on over-unders.
Many things can go into placing an O/U bet, such as injuries, weather, and how hot or cold a team has been lately. Let’s take a look at some of the most intriguing over-unders in the NFL for Week 10.
Saints at Titans (45)
In recent years the 45 points on these two teams would be a no-brainer for the over. But the circumstances have changed for this matchup, and both teams are without some of their key offensive players.
The Saints have been without star wide receiver Michael Thomas all year, and they are now without starting quarterback Jameis Winston. As for the Titans, they will be without the lynchpin of their offense, Derrick Henry.
Even though the Titans put up 28 points on the Rams last week, it was primarily thanks to the defense. Tennessee only mustered 194 of total offense in the game. So I like the under here.
Panthers at Cardinals (44.5)
If I were to bet one under this week, it would be this one. The Panthers have hit the under seven out of nine games this season and scored just six points last week, even with Christian McCaffrey. In addition, it’s been reported that Sam Darnold will now miss time. So take the under again on this one.
Browns at Patriots (45)
It’s true that the Browns exploded with 41 points last week but keep in mind that they still only had 14 first downs in the game. They had a couple of long TDs and a pick-six to inflate the score.
Before last week, the Browns had scored 17 or fewer points in three straight games. The Patriots’ defense is playing well, and aside from a 54 point outburst a couple of weeks ago, the Pats have averaged just 22 points per game on offense in their other eight games. So once again, I’m taking the under here.
Bills at Jets (47.5)
One of these teams has scored 64 points in the last two games, and the other has scored 32. You might be surprised to hear that it’s the Jets that have been lighting up the scoreboard.
New York has found an offensive spark since relying on their backup quarterbacks, and I expect them to score a few points again. As for the Bills, this team is just way too high-powered to not break out against a suspect Jets defense. I love the over here.
Buccaneers at Football Team (51.5)
You might think that taking the under in a game that features the league’s highest-scoring team (Bucs 32.5 per game) is crazy, and maybe it is.
While I think Brady and the boys will put up a significant number, I don’t believe the Football Team will be able to do anything. Washington has not scored at all lately, averaging a minuscule 11 points in their last three games. So this could end up 40-11 for the Bucs.
Will You Be Trying Your Luck on Over-Unders This Week?
If you’re struggling to decide who is going to win this week (and who isn’t in this crazy NFL season), a good option might be to test out the over-unders waters. It’s a fun way to have skin in the game without the pressure of picking a winning team.
