In the blink of an eye, we are at the midpoint of the NFL season. Fans are anxiously pouring over the NFL live odds for week 9 to see which teams are favorites.

There is still plenty of time for teams to make a second-half playoff push. With the regular season extended to 17 games, there is an extra opportunity to climb the divisional standings.

Read on to learn about the best NFL bets this week. Then, explore Week 9 favorites that can win their division before filling out your NFL betting tickets.

New England Patriots

No serious NFL analyst will ever discount Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, the Patriots did not start the season the way they wanted, with an average 4-4 start. However, there is plenty of room for optimism.

This week, they are 3.5 point road favorites against the Carolina Panthers. The Patriots have won three out of their last four games, and rookie quarterback Mac Jones is starting to settle in.

Perhaps the most promising element for the Patriots is a favorable second-half schedule. Of the nine remaining games, only three are against teams with a winning record.

Two of those games are against the Buffalo Bills, the current division leader. This gives the Patriots two opportunities to move up in the standings. The only other remaining game against a winning team is a home game against the Tennessee Titans.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are currently sitting atop the AFC West with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, who are a full game or more behind. The Raiders have a favorable matchup this week against the 2-5 New York Giants.

The betting line is tight as the Raiders are only 3-point road favorites. One thing working in the Raiders’ favor is that they are coming off a bye week. The Raiders have had two weeks to get healthy and prepare for a struggling Giants team.

The biggest obstacle for the Raiders is a relatively demanding remaining schedule. They have three games left against the Chargers and Chiefs and a Week 12 matchup against the first-place Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are quickly becoming a lock to win the NFC East. They are four games ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles. This week, the Cowboys are 10-point favorites at home against the Denver Broncos.

The Cowboys are beneficiaries of being in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. No other team has a winning record in the division.

Most favorably for the Cowboys is the soft landing into the playoffs. They play four of their final five games against these weak NFC East opponents. However, despite some remaining challenging games against the Cardinals, Raiders, and Saints, the Cowboys have a huge buffer and can withstand a few losses.

NFL Betting Odds: Week 9 Favorites That Can Win Their Division

Clear trends are starting to take shape in the NFL. Looking at the NFL betting lines, some Week 9 favorites look like strong contenders to take home a division title. The Cowboys, Raiders, and Patriots all have a shot at winning their division.
