Week 11 in the NFL has an exciting slate of games for bettors. This week could have the most intriguing schedule to date this season.
Most of you have probably already taken a look at the latest NFL betting odds from BetMGM and have circled some games that stand out. Well, here are a few lines that I think are interesting.
Colts-Bills Over 49.5
Coming into Week 11, these are two of the highest-scoring offenses in the NFL. The Bills average 31.1 points per game, while the Colts are not far behind at 26.8 points per game.
On top of that, these two teams are good at taking care of the ball and creating opportunities. As a result, they are the league’s top two teams in turnover margin (+14, +11) and takeaways (24, 21), respectively.
One other thing that makes me think that the over might be the right side here is that despite the Bills giving up the fewest points in the league, the defense can be scored on when facing an elite offense. The only offense Buffalo has faced that averages more points per game is the Titans, and they gave up 34 points to them.
Ravens-Bears Under 45.5
There are a few reasons to like the under here, and the first is the Bears’ offense. They average 16.7 points per game, which is the third-lowest in the NFL.
The Ravens do not average a ton of points either (25.7 per game), and they are a team that likes to run the ball and control the clock. Heading into Week 11, they lead the NFL in time of possession per game.
This suggests that Baltimore will eat up a lot of the clock when they have the ball, and the Bears may get limited opportunities. However, considering Chicago has gone under in six of their nine games in normal circumstances, this line may be worth a look.
On top of this, the game is at Soldier Field, which is not known for having the best field conditions, especially in November.
Cardinals-Seahawks Under 49.5
Admittedly, part of this line rests on if the Cardinals will get QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins back next week. Both have been out for the last two weeks, with Murray dealing with an ankle injury and Hopkins a hamstring injury.
But Arizona faces the best under team in the league in Seattle next week. Seattle is 7-1-1 this year on the under, so it is safe to say that the Seahawks have been reliable for that bet.
Combined, these teams also average slightly less than the line at 48.8. However, the Seahawks are much lower here at 20.1 points per game, and now they have to go up against a top-five defense in the NFL with QB Russell Wilson still not looking 100%.
Steelers-Chargers Under 47.5
Finally, the SNF match-up next week puts these two teams at 47.5, and record-wise, it looks like one of the best under possibilities of the week. The Chargers are 6-3 on the under bet this year, and the Steelers are 6-2-1.
One thing that helps the under here is that the Chargers have the worst rushing defense in the NFL, giving up 155 yards per game. That means the Steelers will most likely try to run it on them, which will eat up some clock, limiting possessions.
The Steelers are not a high-scoring team, averaging less than 20 points per game. If they keep trying to run and fail to score touchdowns, the under could end up paying off.
