Lines for favorites under a key number of three or seven will always get a look from me. The Las Vegas Raiders return home during Week 13 after an impressive Thanksgiving Day win in Dallas.

They face the WFT, an ascendant team that’s on a three-game winning streak, including a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For me, this game comes down to quarterback play. Derek Carr at the Raiders passing attack racks up an average of 296.5 yards per game. They face a WFT pass defense ranked second to last in the league.

Taylor Heinicke keeps winning games. Against Tom Brady and the Bucs, he went 26-for-32 for 256 yards and one TD.

The main reason why I think the Raiders have value here is the hamstring injury to WFT kicker Joey Slye. Because of his injury, Washington signed Brian Johnson from the Bears practice squad.

Kicking for the New Orleans Saints earlier this season, Johnson missed two FG attempts against the Tennessee Titans that cost the Saints the game.

New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)

QB Zach Wilson’s return from COVID-19 got the Jets an elusive win against the Houston Texans.

Though the Eagles lost to the Giants last week, I expect them to have a lot more success against this Jets team.

Why? For one, the Eagles’ committed four turnovers that stalled all offensive momentum. They should clean up their game this week.

Secondly, the Eagles are the number-one running team in the league. The Jets are sixth-worst at stopping it.

The Eagles will keep this game on the ground, keep the ball away from the Jets offense, and win this game in the trenches. So, hop on the -6.5 before it gets bet up to a touchdown.

Buffalo Bills (-3) vs. New England Patriots

I know the New England Patriots are the hottest team in the league, winning six in a row. They’re also undefeated on the road, 5-0.

Despite this, I think the value right now is on the Buffalo Bills.

Yes, the Bills hit a snag with a shocking Week 9 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. And yes, Bills QB Josh Allen has thrown seven picks the last four games.

However, it appears that this will be a defensive war pitting the first and second-ranked defenses in terms of points allowed against one another. The Patriots allow 15.8 points per game while the Bills give up 16.5.

Because these two teams can play defense so well, I expect a close game. The value is on the Bills at home by a field goal.
