NFL Betting Week 11

Betting on football spreads is all about finding out which team can take advantage of a mismatch. In Week 11, three favorites should be able to exploit matchup advantages against lesser opponents. In this article, I’ll be analyzing three games from an NFL betting angle:

  • Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns (-10)
  • Miami Dolphins (-3) at New York Jets
  • Cincinnati Bengals (-1) at Las Vegas Raiders

BetMGM provides betting odds, and NFL spreads for these games. Continue reading below to find out why these favorites can win against the spread in Week 11.

Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns (-10)

In Week 10, the Detroit Lions avoided a loss in the 2021 NFL football season for the first time. However, the Lions were only able to accomplish this while going against a backup quarterback. Mason Rudolph averaged just 4.8 yards per completion despite completing 30 passes. The Lions’ offense struggled, too, as Jared Goff completed just 14 passes for 114 yards.

Cleveland lost embarrassingly against New England, but the Browns will return home hoping to get Nick Chubb back on the field.

Chubb missed last week’s game because of COVID-19 protocols, and the Browns couldn’t get anything done on offense without him. Now Cleveland gets to take on a Lions team that ranks 30th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game.

Miami Dolphins (-3) at New York Jets

Dolphins vs. Jets isn’t the most exciting matchup of the week, but it does present an opportunity to back the Dolphins. Miami quarterback Tue Tagovailoa impressed against Baltimore last week, coming into the game in relief of Jacoby Brisset and averaging 12.2 yards per completion.

Tua has the 16th best quarterback rating in the NFL this year. His main issue is he hasn’t been able to stay on the field enough to help the Dolphins win more games.

The Dolphins should feel better about their quarterback situation than the Jets do. The Jets started Mike White against the Bills last week, and he promptly threw four interceptions.

Cincinnati Bengals (-1) at Las Vegas Raiders

Bengals rookie phenom Ja’Marr Chase has the fifth-most receiving yards in the NFL this year. Chase’s teammate Joe Mixon has the ninth-most rushing yards in the league. This high-powered Bengals offense gets to go up against a Raiders defense that just allowed Patrick Mahomes to throw for over 400 yards.

The Las Vegas defense ranks 16th in yards allowed per game and 21st in an opponent’s time of possession. So there’s little reason to believe the Raiders can slow down the Bengals’ offense in this game.

Wrapping up the Week 11 Football Spreads

The Detroit Lions may have avoided a loss last Sunday, but that doesn’t mean they’re prepared to stop the Browns run game. Cleveland should roll in their matchup, and the same is true for Miami and Cincinnati.
