NFL Football Spreads: Favored Teams That Can Cover the Spread in Week 12

Week 12 in the NFL provides exciting matchups as teams begin the battle for playoff positioning. Are you interested in the best football spreads? Here are a few notable NFL betting lines for favorites I see providing good value this week:

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at New Orleans Saints

The Saints, whose rushing defense ranked in the top ten, suffered a rough game in which Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts ran for three touchdowns. As a result, New Orleans lost that game 40-29.

The Bills (6-4) also disappointed in Week 11 with a 41-15 loss to the Colts. Hampered by four costly turnovers, Buffalo couldn’t establish a rhythm, while Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis offense dominated the time of possession.

The Bills, who remain top 10 in total offense and defense, are 2-0-1 against the spread following a loss. I predict the Bills will cover Thursday night against a depleted Saints team.

Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers (-3)

Both Minnesota and San Francisco come into this NFL Week 12 matchup at 5-5 and carry two-game winning streaks. Last week, Minnesota kicker Greg Joseph connected on a last-second field goal which gave them the win over Green Bay.

The 49ers appear healthy after dealing with many early-season injuries. After a 31-10 win against the favored Rams in Week 10, an all-around solid performance against the Jaguars led to a comfortable 30-10 victory last week.

For both teams, offensive skill players are not hard to find. For Minnesota, Dalvin Cook and second-year receiver Justin Jefferson continue to impress, while Deebo Samuel and the return of George Kittle has reignited the 49ers’ offense.

In a game featuring offensive playmakers galore, the other side of the ball will be the deciding difference. I see the 27th ranked Minnesota run defense struggling to stop a 49ers rushing attack which averages over 123 yards per game.

Los Angeles Chargers (-3) at Denver Broncos

The last favorite, the Los Angeles Chargers (6-4), are set to take on the Denver Broncos (5-5) in a crucial AFC West clash. Denver is coming off of a bye in Week 11 and suffers from inconsistent play. Seven of their ten games have finished with a double-digit margin of victory or defeat, including their Week 9 win in Dallas and Week 10 loss to Philadelphia.

Comparatively, the Chargers have played eight games this season which finished within one score. One of these games came last week against the Steelers, where quarterback Justin Herbert rallied the team after falling behind late in the fourth quarter.

After putting up 41 points in Week 11, I believe the high-powered Chargers continue their offensive success this week and cover the spread.

I like the Bills to bounce back in a Thanksgiving week full of NFL Football and the 49ers to exploit a beatable Minnesota front seven. In addition, I see the Chargers building off of Week 11 momentum to take down the Broncos in a crucial divisional battle.
