New England Patriots (+2.5) vs. Buffalo Bills
In Week 13, five NFL teams are undefeated on the road against the spread as the underdog. However, only one is the underdog this week.
And that’s the New England Patriots.
The Pats are getting three points on the road against the Bills in Week 13. They’re currently on a six-game winning streak after efficiently handling the Tennesse Titans last week, 36-13.
The Patriots have been the favored team in their previous four matchups. The last time they were the underdog was on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers back in Week 8. They won that game, 27-24.
New England has also covered the spread six weeks in a row. So I think it’s safe to say that makes them a great underdog bet this week on Monday Night Football.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+12.5) vs. Los Angeles Rams
Trevor Lawrence is under a lot of pressure in his inaugural season. He threw the ball 42 times last week, completing 23 passes for 228 yards with one touchdown and an interception.
The Jags are currently getting +12.5 points on the road against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams are ranked 5th for passing yards per game. Jacksonville is ranked 18th at passing yards allowed per contest.
Since adding Odell Beckham Jr, Los Angeles has lost three in a row. Matthew Stafford threw costly interceptions in each of those games. To me, the Rams look like a team still in search of its early-season mojo, and I don’t trust that they’ll find it before this week.
Because of the Rams’ struggles, I’m willing to take the double-digit points on the road for the Jags.
Los Angeles Chargers (+3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Chargers are another Los Angeles team with a lot to prove for the remainder of the season. Justin Herbert turns the ball over too much, throwing two interceptions in a loss against the Denver Broncos last week.
However, I wouldn’t mind risking a money line on the Chargers at +135 against the Cincinnati Bengals. To me, they’re too good of a football team to go 6-6 on the season. Furthermore, I think they will play well under pressure as a road dog this week against a formidable team.
Take the points for the Chargers (+3) if that feels safer. But I think they’ll be looking to make a statement in Cincinnati this week.
