Read on to explore NFL underdog betting lines in Week 15. Then, learn which home underdogs have the best chance to cover this week.
Green Bay Packers at Baltimore Ravens (+5.5)
At 10-3, the Green Bay Packers have one of the best records in the NFL. Only three teams in the league have three or fewer losses.
Former NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers leads Green Bay. The Packers’ quarterback is yet again playing at an MVP level, throwing for 3,219 passing yards and 27 touchdowns so far.
Covering this spread will be no small feat for the Baltimore Ravens. However, the Ravens are no pushover either.
They are 8-5 on the season and in first place in the AFC North. The Ravens are also 3-0 against NFC opponents this season. Baltimore is 5-1 at home this year, which bodes favorably against the Packers.
Baltimore ranks first in rushing yards at home, averaging 172.3 yards per game. Though Green Bay’s defense ranks ninth in rushing defense, they did allow 137 last week against the Chicago Bears. The Ravens also allow the fewest rushing yards per game (85.5).
Baltimore can cover if they dominate on the ground, win the possession battle, and keep Rodgers off the field.
Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers (+2)
The Pittsburgh Steelers are having a disappointing season with a 6-6-1 overall record. However, they are a stronger team at home, posting a 4-2-1 record playing at Heinz Field.
Pittsburgh does play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. While they are not facing a division rival in Week 15, it is certainly not an easy matchup. They host a tough Tennessee Titans team that sits atop the AFC South with a 9-4 record.
Veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger remains productive and efficient. Roethlisberger has thrown 19 touchdowns and just seven interceptions on the season. He has over 3000 yards passing as well.
On the other hand, the Titans continue their offensive struggles without star running back Derrick Henry. In their last three games, they’ve averaged a paltry 15.3 points.
The Steelers thrive on close games. They have yet to win a game by more than a touchdown this season, and the Pittsburgh defense averages a league-best 3.3 sacks per game at home. That stat doesn’t bode well for the Titans.
Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars defense sacked Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill four times. Though he didn’t throw an interception during that game, Tannehill’s thrown six total in the last five games.
If the Steelers pass rush can get to Tannehill and force a few bad decisions, Pittsburgh stands an excellent chance to cover this spread and win outright.
Week 15 NFL Underdog Betting Lines
The AFC is an incredibly competitive conference. After Week 14, only five teams have a losing record, and that competitiveness means quite a few quality home underdogs on this week’s slate.
