NFL Wild Card Race: 5 Teams On the Rise in Week 10

The NFL wild card race continues to surprise fans and bettors alike. While some teams falter or remain the same, a few teams are on the rise in Week 10.

Two teams on the bubble in the AFC are the Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Browns got beat back in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers, 47-42. Then, in Week 6, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals, 37-14.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a left shoulder injury that sidelined him for Week 7. However, the Browns won versus the Denver Broncos despite losing Mayfield.

They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, but last week made a statement. Their 41-16 home victory against the Cincinnati Bengals, a team at the top of the AFC a few weeks ago, showed a lot of promise.

This week, the Browns are a slight underdog at +105 for their road matchup against the New England Patriots.

Moving on to the Chiefs, they won their last two games by an average of four-and-a-half points. This week, they’re a road favorite with a money line at -150 against the Las Vegas Raiders, an AFC West rival.

The Chiefs have an excellent opportunity to show that they can earn a spot in this year’s wild-card race.

NFL Wild Card Teams in Week 10

If the NFL wild-card race ended today, some of the teams making the playoffs might raise a few eyebrows. The Atlanta Falcons come to mind.

The Falcons rose three spots after beating the New Orleans Saints 27-25 last week. They are getting +375 odds for a challenging road game this week against the Dallas Cowboys.

But the team most on the rise in Week 10: the Los Angeles Chargers.

After defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chargers rose four spots in the NFL playoff picture. But, much of that had to do with losses from the Raiders, Bengals, and the Buffalo Bills.

Still, the Chargers have a decent chance to hold that spot as a home favorite with a money line of -140 against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.
