Buccaneers vs Panthers Prediction: Week 18 Player Props

Rachaad White Over 11.5 Rushing Yards (-125)

Even as his carries have declined, White has continued to deliver efficient rushing metrics.

Only once in his last four games has White finished under this benchmark.

That failure came last week against Miami, which ranks seventh in rush defense DVOA and sixth in adjusted line yards.

Carolina offers significantly less resistance on the ground. The Panthers rank 25th in each of the respective metrics and surrendered 45 yards to White in Week 16.

That came on only five attempts for White, who delivered a 39-yard run. For the entire season, Carolina has struggled to limit big rushes.

Carolina ranks 22nd in percentage of runs that go 5-10 yards past the line of scrimmage and 25th in percentage of runs that go 10+ yards beyond the line.

By total team yards, Tampa Bay produced 169 yards at Carolina two weeks ago. Only two games saw the team rush for more yards.

Accordingly, I predict Saturday’s game offers a strong buy-low spot on White.

Tetairoa McMillan Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

McMillan struggled against a strong Seattle pass defense last week. The Offensive Rookie of the Year contender notched only one catch for five yards.

Now he gets a favorable matchup with previous success. Two weeks ago, he recorded six catches on 10 targets for 73 yards, all team highs.

Even more beneficial for McMillan are Tampa Bay’s secondary injuries.

Jamel Dean could miss Saturday’s game with a shoulder injury, Zyon McCollum is on IR, and Benjamin Morrison is also questionable.

All of those absentees could open up the Bucs defense, which runs zone coverage at a 70% rate.

This season, McMillan has thrived against that scheme. The rookie wideout has 701 yards against zone and a 20.5% target share. Both lead all Carolina wide receivers.

Given those factors, I predict McMillan delivers a strong performance against a shorthanded secondary.
