  • The Titans fired Brian Callahan on October 13 after a 1-4 start.
  • In the last two seasons, the Titans ranked as one of the worst offenses in the league.
  • Three current offensive coordinators who could take over in Tennessee.

On Oct. 13,ย  the Titans moved on from Brian Callahan.ย

The move ended a brief tenure for Callahan, who struggled both outright and against the spread. In 25 career starts, Callahan posted a 4-20-1 ATS record.ย

For a new head coach, the main task is improving Tennesseeโ€™s offense. Last year, the Titans ranked 31st in offensive DVOA. This year, they ranked 32nd, per ftnfantasy.com.ย

Hereโ€™s a look at some potential replacements for Callahan in Tennessee.ย

Potential Replacements for Brian Callahan

Kliff Kingsbury: Offensive Coordinator, Washington Commanders

Is it time for Kingsbury to earn another head coaching opportunity?ย

Kingsbury currently serves as the Commandersโ€™ offensive coordinator. Last year, he took a Jayden Daniels-led offense to a top-10 DVOA ranking.ย

Kingsbury continued his success in 2025. Even amidst Daniels missing time, the Commanders offense still ranks eighth in offensive DVOA.ย

During his tenure with the Cardinals, Kingsbury proved to be a high-variance head coach. He finished at .500 or better in two of four seasons, but posted a 4-13 record in his final year.ย

That said, his offensive acumen is clearly working with Daniels. The same principles could translate to Cam Ward behind a decent offensive line.ย

Klint Kubiak: Offensive Coordinator, Seattle Seahawks

Kubiak has transformed an offense anchored by Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba into one of the best units in the league.ย

That is no small feat, especially considering the preseason skepticism of Seattleโ€™s offensive transformation and O-Line issues.ย

Last season, Seattle ranked 19th in offensive DVOA. Through six games in 2025, the team sits fourth, including first in pass offense DVOA.ย

Tennesseeโ€™s offense clearly runs through Ward, who hasnโ€™t played as poorly as basic stats suggest.ย

If Kubiak could apply his success to Tennesseeโ€™s offense, it could boost Tennesseeโ€™s profile in a division with some strong defenses.ย

Joe Brady: Offensive Coordinator, Buffalo Bills

Since Brady took over for Ken Dorsey a few years ago, Buffaloโ€™s offense has consistently ranked as one of the best in the league.ย

Some of that is undoubtedly attributed to having an MVP winner at quarterback. But what Brady has accomplished with what I consider a league-average skill group is noteworthy.ย

In 2024, Buffalo finished second in offensive DVOA to Baltimore. Any other year, they would have competed for the top spot.ย

Additionally, the Bills currently lead the league in rush offense DVOA. Last year, they ranked fourth in that category.ย

A strong run game could open up play action and improve Wardโ€™s NFL stock. Accordingly, I like the fit of Brady with Tennessee.ย
