Ravens Playoff Chances, Prediction for 2025

  • The Baltimore Ravens are -550 to make the postseason in 2025-26.
  • Baltimore has reached the postseason three years in a row.
  • One potential factor that could see the Ravens miss the postseason in 2025.

Based on NFL odds and Ravens playoff odds, the Baltimore Ravens are predicted to make the postseason this year.ย

Baltimore, which has won the AFC North each of the last two seasons, is -600 to make the playoffs for a fourth straight season.ย

For bettors interested in stepping in front of the Ravens, they can get +425ย odds for Baltimoreโ€™s postseason streak to end.ย

Prediction: Will the Baltimore Ravens Make the Playoffs?ย

While I ultimately believe the odds hold and Baltimore makes the playoffs, one factor renders the โ€œmiss playoffsโ€ side of this market the only bettable choice.ย

From a metrics standpoint, Baltimore proved one of the best offenses in the NFL.ย

At a 35.1% DVOA rating, the Ravens produced the best offensive DVOA percentage since the league expanded to 17 games.ย

Even more impressive about Baltimore is that success came against a powerhouse set of defenses. Last year, only four teams faced a harder set of opposing defenses than Baltimore.ย

Whatโ€™s notable about the Ravensโ€™ success last season โ€“ and a reason regression could come in 2025 โ€“ is that very few injuries plagued the team in 2024.ย

Per ftnfantasy.com, Baltimore lost only 16.3 adjusted games to injury, including 7.7 on offense. Since 2011, the former figure qualifies as the third-lowest output.ย

Some historical precedent exists for those teams missing the playoffs, although itโ€™s not perfectly symmetrical.ย

Not including Baltimore, three of the previous five least-injured teams missed the postseason the next year. However, one of the exceptions was the Ravens in 2012.ย

Ultimately, for Baltimore to miss the postseason, it likely comes down to an injury to Lamar Jackson. With Jackson, the Ravens are 74-29 SU compared to 4-9 without him.ย

Beyond that fact, no obvious signs of regression exist for Baltimore.ย

The Ravens actually won one fewer game than expected in 2024 with five losses coming by a combined 22 points.ย

A potential pitfall existed in the offseason, but Baltimore avoided it by re-signing Ronnie Stanley at left tackle. Additionally, I like the addition of DeAndre Hopkins to the receiving corps.ย

Based on those factors, this isnโ€™t a team I want to fade next season. That said, the potential injury regression keeps me away from taking futures on the Ravens.ย

The Ravens last won the Super Bowl in 2012, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in New Orleans.ย

That marked the first Super Bowl appearance for the Ravens since 2000, a win over the New York Giants.ย
