Hamilton ranked second in PFF defensive grades amongst all safeties last year. It marked the second straight season where he ranked amongst the three-best safeties by PFF grading.
The consistency provides a narrow edge over second-place Jessie Bates III. While Bates struggled in coverage grades last year, he proved an efficient tackler in Atlanta.
Three years ago, Bates posted an exquisite season in his Falcons debut. He finished the 2023 regular season second to Antoine Winfield Jr. in PFF’s safety grades.
