The Denver Broncos, who reached the AFC Championship game in 2025, begin the offseason with decent cap space.

As of March 4, Denver owns $25.2 million in cap space and $21.1 million in effective space. The latter figure is measured after a team signs 51 players and its rookie class.

Denver can significantly add to that spending power through contract restructures.

If the team elects to adjust existing contracts, it can free up as much as $71.7 million in cap space this offseason.

Notable restructure candidates include offensive lineman Mike McGlinchey and Quinn Meinerz.

Broncos Free Agents 2026: Defense Likely Sees Turnover

Most of Denver’s key free agents come on the defensive side of the ball.

Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Over the last two seasons, Franklin-Myers amassed 16 sacks on 92 pressures.

The former figure measures 43% of his career sacks with eight apiece in 2024 and 2025.

Linebacker Alex Singleton also hits free agency for Denver. Singleton participated in 91.5% of snaps last season and proved to be a key run defender.

Amongst 99 linebackers that participated in at least 20% of snaps, Singleton posted the 12th-best PFF grade against the run.

Corner Ja’Quan McMillan enters the free agent pool as well. However, Denver holds a right of first refusal on the slot corner, who is a restricted free agent.

Offensively, the name to keep an eye on is running back J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins missed time through an injury last year, but Denver saw a sizable dropoff in run production without him.
