Cooper Kupp is a former Super Bowl MVP with over $100 million in career earnings from his NFL contracts alone.

He’s also an aging wide receiver, which means his remaining time in the NFL may be limited. Kupp’s 2025 stat line of 50-ish catches for 600-ish yards is the lowest for any season of his career, except for when he was hurt in 2018.

Seattle’s offense has benefitted from Kupp’s veteran experience, as have any Seahawks odds bettors who took them to win the NFC and play in Super Bowl LX.

But with Kupp turning 33 in 2026, it’s fair to wonder if the front office is eyeing his dead cap number. The front office may feel it got what it needed from him with a Super Bowl run.

Cooper Kupp Contract

Cooper Kupp signed a three-year deal with the Seahawks worth $45 million.

The deal was signed two days after he was cut by Los Angeles, Seattle’s NFC West rival.

Cooper Kupp Guaranteed Money

Cooper Kupp’s contract includes $17.5 million in total guaranteed money. All of that was paid out in his first year with the Seahawks, making him easily cuttable after the 2025 season.

Cooper Kupp Dead Cap

Cooper Kupp’s dead cap hit is only $8 million in 2026.

Cooper Kupp Salary

Cooper Kupp made $17.51 million from his NFL contract in 2025. More than half of that was his signing bonus.

Kupp also received a base salary of $4.99 million, a workout bonus of $8,820, and a $30,000 bonus for every game he was active.

Cooper Kupp Signing Bonus

Cooper Kupp’s signing bonus was $12 million.
