Trusting Dallas as a favorite right now is quite difficult. The secondary is decimated by injury, and the defense ranks 31st in defensive DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com.
That could change with some personnel returning. However, my initial belief is that there is always room for a backdoor cover against the Cowboys.
The counterbalance is that Murray has struggled this season, which could open the door for Dallas’ offense to shine.
Murray ranks 24th of 34 quarterbacks in success rate and 19th of 34 in EPA per play. Arizona as a team sits 22nd in offensive DVOA, albeit against the 11th-hardest set of defenses.
How much his injury impacted those benchmarks remains unknown. In an optimistic scenario, extra time to prepare could help the Cardinals in Dallas.
But Murray has historically struggled off a bye. Only once in his short career has he produced a SU win out of the bye week.
