The Ravens try for a second straight win on TNF against the Miami Dolphins.
Strong defensive play guided the Ravens to a 30-16 win over the Bears on Sunday. Baltimore improved to 2-5 on the year with the win, but the team is still third in the AFC North.
Miami blew out Atlanta 34-10 as 6.5-point road dogs on Sunday, improving to 2-6. It marked only the second time all season Miami allowed 27 or fewer points.

Based on Miami’s poor defensive record this season and the sell-high opportunity on the defense, my Dolphins vs Ravens prediction is the Ravens Team Total Over.
Presumably, Lamar Jackson will return to action on Thursday. On Sunday, John Harbaugh said he was “hopeful” the two-time MVP would return to action.
For me, I want to confirm that both Jackson and Ronnie Stanley play on Thursday. If Stanley fails to feature, my interest in this prediction declines.
At the same time, I rate this game a prime sell-high spot on Miami’s defense.
Prior to Week 8, the defense was allowing 29.3 points per game. I don’t buy all is well after allowing 10 points to an offense missing Michael Penix Jr. and Drake London.
In the three games Jackson started and finished, Baltimore scored at least 30 points in all three games.
Those successes came against Buffalo, Detroit and Cleveland. All of those defenses outranked Miami in defensive DVOA, exclusive of Week 8.
Plus, Snoop Huntley led this offense to 30 points against Chicago. Turnovers undoubtedly helped that output, but Miami isn’t an offense that avoids negative plays.
Let’s also remember that Jackson played Miami in Week 17 of the 2023 season. Albeit at home, the Ravens scored 56 points against Miami’s defense.
By my math, oddsmakers likely list Baltimore’s team total at 28.5 points. Assuming both Stanley and Jackson play, I predict the Ravens clear that benchmark for the second straight game.
