For the seventh straight season, the NFL will feature a Christmas Day slate.
Two games filled the calendar in 2020, 2021 and 2024. In 2022-23 and 2025, the league scheduled three games on Christmas Day.
This year, Christmas Day falls on a Friday. It allows the league to schedule three games for the second straight year.
Two games will be available on Netflix with FOX receiving a primetime Christmas Day game to close out the action.

Here are my predictions for the 2026 NFL Christmas Day slate.
NFL Christmas Day Game Predictions
The biggest question for the 2026 slate: Will the NFL continue with last year’s arrangement and schedule three divisional games?
Cowboys vs Commanders, Vikings vs Lions and Chiefs vs Broncos featured in 2025. The NFL scheduled Steelers vs Chiefs and Texans vs Ravens in 2024.
To begin, I’ll start with the final game on FOX. Traditionally, the network broadcasts games featuring NFC opponents.
A couple options include Rams vs Seahawks or Rams vs Packers, depending on the divisional game preference. I’ll predict a rematch of the NFC Championship to close the action.
Regarding the Netflix games, the NFL could head any direction. If the league elects to continue the divisional games trend, I like a few options for these games:
- Chiefs vs Chargers
- Ravens vs Steelers
- Bengals vs Ravens
If the league heads a different direction and schedules non-divisional games, look for a few marquee matchups.
Bears vs Patriots in Chicago offers one option. Other options include Broncos vs Bills or a rematch of the AFC Championship: Patriots vs Broncos.
My final prediction for the three games: Bengals vs Ravens, Patriots vs Broncos and Rams vs Seahawks.
