With the NFL Draft set to begin on Thursday, there are a number of mock drafts and prediction pieces flooding your timeline with first-round projections.
I’m not a draft expert, and I don’t claim to be. But I am pretty good at reading an odds board, which birthed this idea.
The sportsbook’s NFL Draft odds are far from a perfect market, as any trader will happily tell you. It’s far more susceptible to leaks and inside information than the average online sports betting market, which makes it a near-automatic losing event for the sportsbook virtually every year.Â
So if the market is reasonably efficient, then the odds should offer some insight into how the first portion of the first round should go.
