While NFL betting won’t be in full force for a few months, Wednesday will give allow betting on the best quarterbacks in the game in another sport: golf.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will take on Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in The Match 6. The event takes place at The Wynn Golf Club in Nevada. It is the same course where Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau played their match last November.

TNT will have the television coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

The event debuted in 2018 when Tiger Woods took on Phil Mickelson, and then it expanded into a team event with a golfer being paired with an athlete from a different sport.

This is the sixth edition, and the first time Mickelson will not be a part of it. Even when Koepka took on DeChambeau, Mickelson was part of the coverage.

Below are the golf odds for the event as well as the format, some quick analysis and a prediction.

The Match 2022 Format

The four NFL quarterbacks will play 12 holes in a “shamble” format.

Each of the four players will tee off. Each team will then select the best tee shot, and then each player will play their ball for the rest of the hole. Whichever player has the best score for their team on each hole will count, and the lower score between the two teams will win that hole.

The Match 2022 Odds, Betting Insights

Brady and Rodgers are heavy favorites over Mahomes and Allen. Their golf odds to win are -190, while Mahomes and Allen come in at +150.

At BetMGM, as of Wednesday morning, Brady and Rodgers are drawing 59% of the tickets and 77% of the handle.

The Match 2022 Analysis

Brady and Rodgers have experience in the event, which is likely why they are the favorites. This will be Brady’s third time playing, while it will be Rodgers’ second. The two went against each other last summer when Brady and Mickelson fell to Rodgers and DeChambeau.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is 0-2 in the event.

While Mahomes and Allen haven’t played in this event, they have both played in The American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament played every summer in Lake Tahoe, so their golf games have been on public display before.

According to Sports Illustrated, Rodgers has the lowest handicap of the foursome at 4.4, followed by Mahomes at 7.7. Brady comes in next at 8.1, while Allen is just behind at 9.0.

The handicaps and past experience give Brady and Rodgers the edge.

The Match 2022 Prediction

The Pick: Brady/Rodgers -190
