Giants vs Rams Prediction

Based on New York’s ability to run the ball on SNF and the Rams’ defensive absentees, my Rams vs Giants prediction is the New York Giants Spread (+7, -105).

I still think bettors have a lot to learn about both teams. Overall confidence here is really medium, as I don’t want to overreact to the Giants looking like world beaters on SNF.

That said, I’m not considering laying this many points with the Rams. The defense showed enough vulnerability in Melbourne that I could see the Giants keeping it close.

Los Angeles will operate without Myles Garrett for at least four games. Key linebacker Nate Landman could miss the game as well. Finally, who knows what Aaron Donald’s role looks like.

San Francisco blitzed the Rams defense by dominating on the ground. Pre-Week 1 MNF, Los Angeles posted the second-worst rush EPA per play and worst rushing success rate.

It came despite Christian McCaffrey playing a minimal role in the actual rushing attack. That said, there was clearly a rest factor at play with LA’s decision to arrive late for the game.

If you’re optimistic about the Giants, the case rests on Cam Skattebo doing the exact same thing to LA’s defense.

New York won on SNF by dominating Dallas on the ground. The Giants ranked sixth in rush EPA per play and fourth in rushing success rate.

Of course, it came against the league’s worst run defense from 2025. By contrast, the Rams finished the 2025 campaign ranked fifth against the run.

What is concerning about the Giants is their Week 1 defensive performance The unit ranked 26th in defensive EPA per play and 23rd in defensive success rate.

How the Rams offense looks after traveling back from Australia is a total mystery to me. If the unit transforms back into the version that dominated the latter half of 2025, watch out.

All of that leads me to predict the number feels slightly too high. However, I want to use this game as a further fact-finding mission.
