Doug Nussmeier is the Saints’ offensive coordinator for 2025.
Nussmeier joins New Orleans from the Eagles. Most of his NFL experience came under Kellen Moore, the Saints’ head coach.
In 2024, Nussmeier worked as Philly’s QB’s coach. He held the same title in 2023 with the Chargers.
That role once again came under Moore, who worked as Chargers’ OC.
Nussmeier and Moore also worked with one another in Dallas. Nussmeier held two roles with the Cowboys:
- 2018-19: TE’s Coach
- 2020-22: QB’s Coach
Rounding out Nussmeier’s NFL arc are two seasons with the Rams. In 2006-07, he worked in St. Louis as the QB’s coach.
He also owns 13 years of NCAA experience:
- Fresno State: OC/QB’s Coach (2008)
- Washington: OC/ QB’s Coach (2009-11)
- Alabama: OC/QB’s Coach (2012-13)
- Michigan: OC/QB’s Coach (2014)
- Florida: OC/QB’s Coach (2015-17)
To round out his career, Nussmeier owns two years of CFL experience.
From 2001-02, he worked north of the border with QB’s. He also spent a year as OC.
