The Seattle Seahawks missed the playoffs last season for just the second time in the last 10 years and the third time since Pete Carroll and John Schneider arrived in 2010. And while NFL odds suggest another postseason whiff is likely, Emory Hunt of CBS Sports believes the roster is good enough without Russell Wilson to contend for a Wild Card.
“Don’t undersell Geno Smith and the camaraderie he has with that team,” Hunt said on BetQL Daily. “The Seahawks, to me, on paper have a good roster, a roster that can compete. If Geno can play stabilized football, to drive the bus so to speak, Seattle has enough to be a nuisance and could potentially fight for that seventh playoff spot.”
