NFL teams only have one more preseason game to gear up for the regular season.

Here are online sports betting insights for the Giants playing the Jets and the Lions facing off with the Steelers in NFL preseason action, as well as the Braves and Cardinals matching up in MLB.

NFL

New York Giants vs. New York Jets

Sunday, Aug. 28 | TV: NFL Network | 1 p.m. ET

The Giants and Jets, two teams from the same place who are both aiming to rebuild their franchises, will square off in their preseason finales. Both teams have Super Bowl odds of +15000.

Both teams are 2-0 during the preseason. The Giants defeated the Bengals 25-22 in their last outing and the Patriots 23-21 in the first week of the preseason. The Jets are coming off a 24-16 win over the Falcons after beating the Eagles 24-21.

Against the Bengals, Davis Webb threw for 204 yards while completing 22 of 27 passes to go with two touchdowns for the Giants. Daniel Jones was 14 of 16 through the air with 116 yards and a pick.

Jashaun Corbin ran for 27 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Alex Bachman tallied 11 receptions, 122 yards and two touchdowns.

In the Jets’ win over Atlanta, Chris Streveler led them in passing (119 yards) and rushing (33 yards) while adding a touchdown and an interception on 8-for-11 passing. Lawrence Cager caught that touchdown and finished the day with 65 yards on three receptions.

Detroit Lions vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Sunday, Aug. 28 | TV: CBS | 4:30 p.m. ET

The Lions have plenty of interest this preseason while being in the spotlight of “Hard Knocks.”

Detroit is 1-1 this preseason, while the Steelers are 2-0. The Steelers have an NFL betting line of -4.5.

The Lions opened the preseason with a 27-23 loss to the Falcons, but they rebounded with a 27-26 win at Indianapolis.

Against the Colts, Tim Boyle was 12 of 15 through the air with 99 yards and a touchdown. Trinity Benson caught four passes for 44 yards. Justin Jackson ran seven times for 54 yards.

The Steelers, meanwhile, topped the Seahawks 32-25 and then beat the Jaguars 16-15.

In that game at Jacksonville, Mason Rudolph completed 17 of 21 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. Steven Sims led Pittsburgh with 11 rushing yards, while Tyler Vaughns caught four passes for 56 yards.

MLB

Atlanta Braves vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Sunday, Aug. 28 | TV: ESPN | 7 p.m. ET

The Cardinals and Braves are among the best teams in the National League heading into this matchup. 

The Braves’ MLB odds to win the World Series were +1000 as of Thursday, Aug. 25, while the Cardinals’ World Series odds were +2500.

The Braves were third in the NL at 78-48, 1.5 games behind the New York Mets in the NL East. The Cardinals were fourth in the NL at 71-53, good enough for first place in the NL Central.

Jake Odorizzi from Atlanta and Adam Wainwright from St. Louis are scheduled to pitch. Odorizzi is 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA and 1.27 WHIP, while Wainwright is 9-9 with a 1.17 WHIP and 3.11 ERA.

Paul Goldschmidt was pacing the Cardinals in home runs (31), batting average (.335) and RBIs (100). He was the MLB betting favorite to win NL MVP at -400.

Austin Riley (31 homers), Dansby Swanson (.291 batting average) and Matt Olson (87 RBIs) were leading the Braves at the plate.
