A battle between AFC North teams, even this early in the season, could be crucial for playoff positioning.

If you want to bet on NFL games, here are online sports betting insights for the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions playing the New England Patriots as well as the Utah Utes facing off with the UCLA Bruins in college football.

NFL

Detroit Lions vs. New England Patriots

Sunday, Oct. 9 | TV: FOX | 1 p.m. ET

Both at 1-3, the Lions and Patriots are fighting to take a step up toward winning records. The Patriots have an NFL betting line of -3 as of Thursday, Oct. 6.

Jared Goff has been playing admirably behind center for the Lions. He’s thrown for 1,126 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. And that’s with running back D’Andre Swift and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown out last week.

With those two gone, Jamaal Williams ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-45 loss to the Seahawks. Tight end TJ Hockenson paced Detroit with 179 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.

The Patriots are dealing with their own injuries, as it’s unclear whether quarterback Mac Jones will return, if backup Brian Hoyer will be ready or third-string rookie Bailey Zappe will be forced to make his first career start.

Damien Harris (246 yards) and Rhamondre Stevenson (211 yards) both have over 200 yards on the ground this season, while Nelson Agholor is the team’s leading receiver at 225 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, Oct. 9 | TV: NBC | 8:20 p.m. ET

Both at 2-2, the Bengals and Ravens will compete for a lead of the AFC North. The Ravens have a football betting line of -3.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been electric. In four games, he’s thrown for 893 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 65% of his passes. He’s also run for a team-best 316 yards and two touchdowns.

Tight end Mark Andrews has been Baltimore’s leading receiver with 260 yards and three touchdowns on 24 catches. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman is next with 243 yards, 11 catches and two touchdowns.

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow has thrown for 1,099 yards, eight touchdowns and four picks on a 64% completion rate. Joe Mixon leads the Bengals with 224 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Tee Higgins has a team-high 315 receiving yards to go with two touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase paces the Bengals with 25 catches while totaling 293 yards and two touchdowns.

College Football

Utah Utes vs. UCLA Bruins

Saturday, Oct. 8 | TV: FOX | 3:30 p.m. ET

In this matchup between ranked teams, No. 11 Utah has a college football betting line of -3.5 at No. 18 UCLA.

Utah has won four straight games after dropping its first at Florida. UCLA is 5-0 coming off a 40-32 victory over then-No. 15 Washington.

For Utah, Cameron Rising has completed 68% of his passes for 1,153 yards, 13 touchdowns and two interceptions to go with 189 rushing yards.

Tavion Thomas leads the Utes with 295 yards and four touchdowns rushing. Devaughn Vele (21 receptions, 269 yards, three touchdowns), Dalton Kincaid (19 receptions, 257 yards, five touchdowns) and Brant Kuithe (19 receptions, 206 yards, three touchdowns) are Utah’s leading pass catchers.
