NFL games have finally arrived — albeit preseason.

Here are online sports betting insights for the preseason matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders, as well as MLB games between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers.

NFL

Minnesota Vikings vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Sunday, Aug. 14 | TV: NFL Network | Time: 4:25 p.m. ET

There are reasons to be nervous and excited about these two teams in the regular season. As of Thursday, Aug. 11, the Vikings and Raiders had Super Bowl odds of +4000.

The Raiders are fresh off a 2021 playoff appearance and are hoping to make further strides. With Josh McDaniels now as the team’s head coach, they acquired superstar wide receiver Davante Adams from the Packers.

Meanwhile, the Vikings also made a head coaching change. Former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell is at the helm. Minnesota hopes quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Justin Jefferson can help power them to a postseason berth.

As for this preseason game, anticipating exactly how much the starters will play is difficult. The Raiders have NFL odds of -3.5.

Las Vegas beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-11 on Aug. 4 in the Hall of Fame game. Derek Carr didn’t play, but Jarrett Stidham led them through the air, completing 8 of 15 passes for 96 yards to go with a 12-yard rushing touchdown.

MLB

New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

Saturday, Aug. 13 | TV: FOX | Time: 7:15 p.m. ET

The Yankees are looking to further their lead in the American League East.

As of Thursday, they were 71-41, 10 games ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays and 17 ahead of the Red Sox (54-58).

The Yankees had the second-best MLB World Series odds at +375 behind only the Los Angeles Dodgers (+350) and had -5000 odds to win the AL East. Boston’s division odds, meanwhile, were +100000.

Aaron Judge, who had AL MVP odds of -500, has been phenomenal for the Yankees. He was leading the team with 45 home runs, 99 RBIs and a .304 batting average.

Rafael Devers, with MVP odds of +10000, has stood out for Boston. He was leading the team with 24 homers, a .310 batting average and 60 RBIs.

Frankie Montas for the Yankees and Kutter Crawford for the Red Sox are expected to pitch. Montas is 4-9 with a 3.59 ERA and 1.18 WHIP, while Crawford is 3-4 with a 4.3 ERA and 1.24 WHIP.

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers

Saturday, Aug. 13 | TV: FOX | Time: 7:15 p.m. ET

The Mariners have found a way to distance themselves from the Rangers in the AL West.

The Mariners were 61-52 as of Thursday and had +3500 odds to win the World Series. The Rangers were 49-61, 21 games behind the division-leading Houston Astros (71-41).

Seattle’s Marco Gonzales and Texas’ Dane Dunning are set to take the mound. Gonzales, at 7-11, has a 3.98 ERA and 1.39 WHIP. Dunning is 2-6 with a 1.36 WHIP and 4.04 ERA.

Eugenio Suarez was leading Seattle in home runs (18) and RBIs (58), while Ty France had a team-best .298 batting average. Adolis Garcia (71 RBIs), Corey Seager (25 homers) and Nathaniel Lowe (.281 batting average) have been pacing the Rangers at the plate.
