The NHL playoffs have reached the Conference Finals, which in NHL betting gives plenty of different options.
NHL betting lines are most popular, but now there are plenty of prop bets for each game.
Here are two player props to consider for Wednesday’s Rangers-Lightning matchup.
Chris Kreider (Rangers) Anytime Goal Scorer (+150)
Chris Kreider leads all Rangers with eight goals in 14 playoff games, averaging 0.79 points per game and 0.57 goals per game. Among his teammates, Kreider averages the third-most shots per game, hitting the net 2.71 times.
The Lightning have been pretty stingy allowing goals, but that number is skewed by their series against the Florida Panthers, as the Presidents’ Trophy winners were only able to score three goals in four games. There are two ways to view this: Florida was either very ineffective on offense, or Tampa Bay played excellently on defense.
Regardless, the Lightning have allowed 2.45 goals per game this postseason and Kreider remains the most likely Ranger to find the back of the net.
Getting Kreider with plus odds in this spot has value, so at +150, he’s worth a look.

Victor Hedman (Lightning) Over 2.5 Shots (-160)
Victor Hedman is quietly tied for third in playoff scoring among defensemen. He has two goals and 10 points in 11 games. More importantly, Hedman leads the Bolts with an average of 3.55 shots per game, 1.05 more shots than he’ll need to hit this prop.
The Rangers have allowed the third-most shots against per game and most of the remaining teams at 38.9. New York has ridden the back of Igor Shesterkin into the third round, which could mean a boon of offense for the Lightning if he falters.
Hedman is likely to benefit from an increase in offensive opportunities with his team-leading 39 shots and quarterbacking the first powerplay unit. At -161, consider Hedman a solid bet to go over 2.5 shots in Game 1.
