2025-26 Vezina Trophy Odds: Who Will Be The NHL’s Best Goaltender

With only a couple of weeks to go before the NHL regular season ends, now’s a good time to take a look at who might win the Vezina Trophy. 

For the unaware, the Vezina Trophy is awarded each year to the league’s top goaltender, as determined by the NHL’s general managers. 

The reigning winner, Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck, isn’t a contender for the Vezina at all this season. This means we’ll have a new Vezina Trophy winner for the first time since 2023.

Who’s Favored to Win the 2025-26 Vezina Trophy?

Andrei Vasilevskiy, Lightning (-250)

Tampa goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has retaken the top spot in the ranking of Vezina Trophy favorites after briefly relinquishing that spot to New York’s Ilya Sorokin. 

Vasilveskiy is having a routinely great season for the Lightning, providing the backbone for a team that looks like the best Stanley Cup contender in the Eastern Conference. 

Through 54 starts this season, he’s earned a league-leading 37 wins. He also has a 2.31 GAA and a .912 save percentage, which has him in the top-five of all NHL goaltenders in both of those statistical categories, ranking 2nd and 5th, respectively. 

While these numbers aren’t close to being career highs for Vasilevskiy, they may be enough to help the 31-year-old win the second Vezina Trophy of his career. He first won the award after the 2018-19 season, when he posted a 2.40 GAA and a .925 save percentage, along with a league-leading 39 wins.
