It’s my favorite futures market of the year.

Predicting which team will win the national championship every year is fun. But only one team gets to win the last game of the season, which means you really have to nail your handicap in order to win your bet.

The College Football Playoff odds are a middle ground for bettors who want to bet college football futures, but are comfortable taking a shorter return in exchange for less risk.

With the 2024 expansion of the College Football Playoff, 12 teams now make the CFP every year. That’s about 9% of Division I FBS.

When you bet the CFP odds, you don’t have to get everything right. You just have to pick out one or two teams that will still be standing in December. Most college football fans can usually do that!
