The NBA season is still young with most teams playing 16-18 games. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t any interest in NBA MVP odds.

The debate on who is most deserving of this award is fascinating every year. Is it the best overall player in the NBA? Who put up the best numbers? Or who was the most valuable and instrumental in their team’s success?

Just a quarter of the way through the regular season, here are the odds to win the NBA MVP.

The Favorites

Leading the way at +500 are two players at very different stages of their careers but are equally as dominant.

Luka Doncic is 21 and in his third season in the NBA. LeBron James is 36 and in his 18th season.

Doncic is a young and rising superstar, nearly averaging a triple-double this season with 27.3 points per game, 9.8 rebounds per game, and 9.9 assists per game. James isn’t slowing down at all, contributing on all levels with 25.2 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 7.4 APG.

Not far behind are Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid at +600. Embiid is averaging 27.7 PPG, 11.5 RPG, and 2.7 APG. Durant is scoring 30.4 PPG with 7.6 RPG and 5.8 APG.
