I won’t go too deep on the DP World Tour’s answer to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, with players competing alongside movers and shakers and entertainers on three world-class courses. That’s because my first pick comes from right near the top of the board.

When it comes to Tommy Fleetwood (+1000), we often talk about his lack of victories on U.S. soil, but his failure to win this one is truly shocking. He owns a pair of runner-up finishes, a half-dozen top-fives and 12 top-25s in 14 career starts, which hopefully means the law of averages is about to catch up with him. There is a catch, though – well, a couple of ‘em: Tommy’s tee-to-green performance at the BMW PGA Championship two weeks ago was by far his worst of the year, as he missed the cut, then he opened in France last week with scores of 69-67 before being forced to WD due to illness.

I’ll admit those are a few signs pointing in the wrong direction, and I had hoped it would be reflected in his pricing, but I still believe a healthy Fleetwood can finally win this one.

Based on his usual standards, it’s been a pretty terrible year for Sepp Straka (+5500), but he’s gradually shown some signs of turning the corner, posting a T-15 result at Wentworth, and I love getting him at a price that’s longer than the likes of Oliver Lindell and Tom Vaillant. He’s never played this event, usually choosing to rest during the autumn months, however I could see another J.J. Spaun-at-Wentworth type of situation developing here.

OK, fine. I wasn’t going to do it, but two triple-digit plays for you animals. The first is Adrian Meronk (+12500). He’s a good player who’s gotten caught in the spin cycle between LIV Golf and the DP World Tour. If we’re going to keep getting these prices on him, I’ll keep firing.

And the last one, based on the been there-done that theory, is Francesco Molinari (+20000), whose best days are behind him, but can maybe turn back the clock on a few tracks where distance shouldn’t be too much of an advantage.
