The PGA Tour is back in Florida for another PGA Tour signature event.
The Blue Monster at Trump National Doral will host a PGA Tour event for the first time in a decade with the Cadillac Championship, April 30-May 3.
Playing over 7,700 yards, it is one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour.
Scottie Scheffler has the best odds to win this week at +300.
Not many players in the field have played the course in competition before, so there isn’t much course history to rely on, and not hosting a PGA Tour event in a decade makes it a tough week to handicap.
Cadillac Championship Prediction
Scottie Scheffler is expected to win the Cadillac Championship with a 25% implied probability, according to betting markets. Cameron Young is next at 7.69%.
Implied probability is the overall chance of a potential outcome in relation to the odds.
Cadillac Championship Best Bets
Harris English Outright Winner (+4000)
This is a difficult week of handicapping, but one of the course comps for the Blue Monster is Quail Hollow in Charlotte, where English finished T-2 in last year’s PGA Championship.
Sure, distance will help this week, but it isn’t the only thing needed, especially given how much trouble lies on the course, particularly with water hazards. This has the potential to play close to a major championship, and English thrives on difficult courses.
English is coming off his best finish of the season with a T-4 at the RBC Heritage, so he is in good form. Not to mention, he finished solo 10th the last time the PGA Tour was at Doral.
Overall, the 2026 season has been solid for English (six top-25s but only one top 10), so he’s looking to break out in a big way.
Russell Henley Top-10 Finish (+188)
Henley has been incredibly consistent this season. In nine events, he’s made seven cuts and has six top-10 finishes, with his best being a T-3 at the Masters a few weeks ago.
Another course comp to the Blue Monster is Bay Hill, which is where Henley won the Arnold Palmer Invitational a year ago.
Tough courses don’t bother Henley, and if scoring is difficult, that will play even more into his favor.
Kurt Kitayama Top-20 Finish (+140)
Kitayama certainly checks the distance box off, as he is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour. Additionally, he also won at Bay Hill in 2024.
The issue with Kitayama of late is putting four rounds together.
At the Texas Children’s Houston Open, he opened with a 66, only to finish T-60. At the Masters, he shot a first-round 69 to finish Thursday at T-3, then posted 10 shots worse the next day and finished 51st.
Against a smaller field, a top-20 finish seems more than attainable.
